This is the second spam comment I get on AO3. Logged-in account. The bots are getting accounts! Both affected fics were from teeny-tiny fandoms (one was Denouement, which has been there for a year, so it's not like they're only targetting new fics).
It's also really funny they want me to "commission them". Most of my stuff IS art. If I want to "bring my stories to life" I can just go and do it without getting scammed :)
I'm lucky I haven't gotten the nasty ones who insult me or whatever.

Date: 24 Jan 2026 19:28 (UTC)What really amused me was that on ff.net, they mostly targeted the most recent fic, saying "Oh it was so vivid" and "It moved me so much that I want to draw it". Thing is, I stopped posting on ff.net years ago, so the fic they were talking about was about four women who were never in the show (Doctor Who), who all had Alzheimer's and were sitting around a table in a memory care facility, trying to sustain a conversation. The spammer clearly hadn't read even the summary of the fic, much less the whole thing.
