A short answer, but it has forced me to talk to people and, while I'm still considered socially inept, I'm better now than I was, say, 5 years ago.

I love Ghost Light, the three-parter story from the first half of season 26 of Doctor Who.

I love the atmosphere. I love how we get to pick at Ace's brains. I love how we see the Doctor be a subtle-not-so-subtle manipulator who's just really good at improvising. I like the one-off characters and Light and his squeaky voice. Light hates change, we need change.

It perfectly balances the macro plot (Light wishing to destroy everything) and the micro plot (Ace's trauma, and I'm calling it micro because it's about one person, not because it's not important).

It's not difficult to understand, but the special version is the way to go to watch it.

Apologies for how scatterd and nonsensical it is, but it's a very energies-based episode. Go with the flow and all that (and I'm tired).

Ghostlight is such a good choice! It's probably my favourite DW story as well. <3 Don't apologise! It's too amazing to apologise for.

Will say, when I came into fandom (not even that long ago, 10 years 😬) Ghost Light was seen as an imcomprehensible mess. Was very confused.

The good news, it's getting more love now. Nature is healing :D

It's just always been a divisive one, that's all - it's always had both a lot of admiration and caused a lot of confusion, but clearly the confused people aren't paying attention! XD

Well, it has to be one with the Delgado!Master (Mind of Evil usually), David Collings (Robots of Death, also sexy voiced robots) and The Dominators (because no one else will;p).
