To keep the introduction short, there are a bunch of audios I haven't listened to, or it's been years since I did. And combine that with my recent endeavour of experience pretty much every EU material featuring the first Doctor.

Companion Chronicles:

Frostfire:
I loved this one so much. I love Vicki a lot, so it's a treat having her tell the story, and O'Brien did an amazing job. The atmosphere was on point (of note, I listened to this one last year, while waiting for my train to arrive, while the weather was cold and windy; it enhanced the experience.

Mother Russia:
The plot was okay, but the characterisation was great! Purves is great and is probably the most accurate first Doctor after Hartnell himself. We need more One, Steven and Dodo audios.

Here There Be Monsters:
Susan-centric, Ford still has that Susan energy :D The story was awesome.

Home Truths:
Sara Sara Sara! Creepy story and the twist hit me like a dustcart hits a Dalek.

Transit of Venus:
Oh hey, it's my blorbo William Russell (would I listen to him reading a phonebook? yes). The story is very interesting, it's one of those descent into madness affairs (or is it?)

(Bonus) The Rocket Men:
It's been years. It's still brilliantly tense. And of course, that narration.

Lost Stories:

Farewell Great Macedon:
This is Marco Polo levels of epic. Gave me Adventure Story vibes (maybe because I seen the TV play before listening to this). Can't help but imagine this being done on TV. Alexander is not that tall and has homoerotic tension with Hephaistion, I approve.

The Fragile Yellow Arc of Fragrance:
One episode, very sad. The concept was interesting.

Beyond the Doctor:

London 1965:
This one is completely new to me. I don't usually seek BBC audio stuff. Glover is a pretty nice narrator. My biggest gripe is that I feel it should've been longer?? I don't know. The setup was pretty good but the ending just hit me like a dustc- you know. But I really did like it! Now I need to listen to the other Beyond the Doctor stories. Oh and that title. It will never get old.

Can't wait to get to Flames of Cadiz just because of that one scene in which Barbara goes "Don't loose hope!" and five seconds later Ian's like "I'll never see Barbara again :(" lol

Any neat-o first Doctor audios you like? The next one on my list is The Drowned World.
