William Russell spent some time at LAMDA as a teacher and director, and was appointed as head at some point. He resigned immediately. In his Myth Makers he mentions this in passing. He said he was too impatient to be a teacher or a director lol. Anyways, here's some clippings.

Besides Harriet's Back in Town, Russell and Pauline Yates did What the Butler Saw together, which was a sex comedy, farce thing. Which isn't something you usually associate with Russell, and I'm all about it.
