scifirenegade: The seventh Doctor and Ace standing under an umbrella and having a grand ol' time. (yay | seven & ace)
[personal profile] scifirenegade

It is 100% official: I'm not only done with this year of uni, I was selected to do a Master's degree! I mean, I already made half of the subjects for it, might as well let me in haha.

Entered the Rarepair Exchange. Still brainstorming ideas (and all of them involve several panels... oh dear...). Also doing some good ol' Artfight, but it's slow. I've done some experimental pieces (and also got the coolest and cutest art, thank you!).

Started doing some exercise everyday. I feel like my arms are more toned than they were before. However, I have not done so for the past few days, as I've been feeling a bit tired and weak (personal reasons, but it isn't anything serious).

This very week I started following this art curriculum. Haven't been working on it everyday, though. Figure drawing is a pain.

I have fished every single noteworthy news article that features William Russell (Enoch). Will probably post my favourites later. Gonna do Jacqueline Hill next, even if she has such a common name (same for Russell, when searching for William Russell; found an article that had a politician with that same name getting fanmail for the actor lol).

My next .giffing project may be Jacqueline Hill in The Blue Parrot. There are only 2 .gifs of her in the movie in all of Tumblr, and that isn't fair. Pretty decent movie, and she was as lovely as always.

Just reading The High History of the Grail (or Perlesvaus); you can find several different copies on archive.org. I thought of reading Chretien de Troyes' Perceval, but changed my mind at the last minute.

That means I finished all of de Troyes' Four Romances! My favourites were Yvain and Lancelot. The Lancelot one is absolutely hilarious! Couldn't help myself and had to imagine Russell!Lancelot in these ridiculous situations. I really want to draw him the cart. Also that scene with Guinevere and Lancelot doing, erhm, things, and Kay is RIGHT THERE what the hell??

I did draw Russell!Lancelot in a burning bed. Enjoy.

Pride and Prejudice is still going strong and I'm still having a good time.

Knights of the Round Table (1953) was pretty decent. Love how colourful medieval (or medieval-adjancent) movies used to be. Other than that, been rewatching An Unearthly Child for the 100th time, as one does.

Now, audios. The Drowned World I enjoyed. I find the story of the Sara Kingdom House fascinating, so it was nice to see that the second installment focused more on the framing device (that isn't really a framing device anymore). I was listening to The Suffering (and having a good time; see the Doctor's driving haha) and my audio player crashed and I don't kbow where I am anymore. Oh well, it doean't hurt to start over.

Now, after spending 6 months basically listening to the same 2 Depeche Mode albums, I have finally listened to a third one! It's Black Celebration, and Stripped lives in my head rent free. Now onto another 6 months without listening to any new things :P
