Mostly been working on my essays. With either Drawfee, Secret Sleepover Society or quill18 in the background to keep me relaxed (or to laugh every once in a while).

We have a new scanner / printer combo, and the first thing I did was print a pic of Barbara. She hangs out in my desk, judging me. It does help get stuff done, highly recommend lol.

Been doing some "giffage", because I cannot resist William Russell's face in motion. Or William Russell in general. I've done so far The Gay Dog, One Good Turn, The Adventures of Hal 5 and his episode in Van der Valk (with surprise Pat Troughton, always nice to see him). Not giffed are Jon Pertwee and Peter Butterworth's appearances in The Gay Dog, which where the best part of the movie, but I want to put some nice text on them, and that takes a while.

Also scoured through the BNA and got some nice news clippings of good ol' Russ (and also Jacqueline Hill; I have the whole Test Your Dress Sense contest, since she modelled for it, plus a not-great review of The Executioners, play, but there's a pic of her). Expect Russell as Rochester soon.

Been reading Chrétien de Troyes' Arthurian Romances. Very close to finishing Yvain. And also Pride and Prejudice for the first time. Having a good time! I've only seen the movie with Mathew Whatisface (forgot his last name).

Finally saw William Russell's Edgar Wallaces. He plays crooks! In the early 60s! That's rare for the time. I'm absolutely obssessed with Mike Cochrane from Return to Sender. He only drinks milk, puts on a silly voice, has a cool camera and I felt so bad for him at the end?? It ends abruptly too. There were some nice shots (those zoom-ins on the camera), and some cool lighting.

Also saw Sword of Lancelot (1963). It was ... quite rubbish. I liked Mordred though. He has a bird friend, he's charming and schemes in the shadows. Nobody suspects him. His actor was also pretty good (especially compared to everyone else, it was bleh). I started Knights of the Round Table (1953) but had to stop because Merlin's hood is the same as Merlin's hood (from the Sir Lancelot show). Wonder how the costume ended up with Sapphire Films.
